About Us
1997 was the year...
Albina Food was founded in 1997 by two former competitors, as a privately held wholesale company with focus on basic groceries. Our range of products has rapidly increased and we are today proud to be among the largest and most respected suppliers within the ethnic food segment in Scandinavia. In 2006 and 2007 we were placed on the Swedish Gasell list as one of the fastest growing companies in the country, a survey done on a yearly basis by Dagens Industri (Sweden’s leading financial daily newspaper).
In addition to above we were also appointed as the most successful industrialist of 2006 in Sweden. Following statement from the jury: This years most successful industrialist is a dynamic and customer adapted company which is driven by two farsighted, former competitors, who together have reached this great achievement.

History in brief
In 2001 we started to discuss the possibility of investing and building Swedens first Dry Nut Roastery, a long journey with many exciting challenges on the way. In spring 2003 the production in our state of the art fully equipped Nut Roastery could finally begin. Today, four years later and based on our unique recipes from the Orient, we dry roast and season numerous kinds of nuts, seeds and kernels, raw ingredients which we import from all over the world. No extra fat or oil is added in order to achieve the ultimate taste and strengthen the natural flavour, in other words, enjoyment at its most exquisite!
Private Label
We offer Private Labeling/brands. In addition to the clear advantage of offering you our superb quality nuts, we can help you to design packaging, labeling and literature for your own product lines.
Production capacity
The Albina Nut Roastery has a production capacity of 8 tons per day. Today we dry roast nuts not only as a private label to one of the largest food chains in Sweden but also under our own brand, Sandiala Finest Nuts, which can be found for example in a number of the ICA and Coop retail stores, two of the other major food chains in Sweden.
